Villa Rusconi-Quiriconi is located on a hill overlooking the sea, above a rocky inlet. From this irregular space the architect Di Salvo sets out to develop the project, which includes a 7-sided square-terrace, on three of these recessed sides the living room of the house, thus permeating the exterior with the interior, from this articulation develop all the other environments. Immersed in a natural park that opens onto the pool and extends into a picturesque view of the sea and the Tuscan coast. Castiglione della Pescaia (5 km) and Punta Ala offer many sporting possibilities including golf, horse riding, trekking, cycling, tennis, surfing and sailing, as well as culinary delights. History and culture lovers can find archaeological sites such as Vetulonia and Roselle nearby; nature lovers can organize excursions and trekking. In Castiglione della Pescaia, the splendid little harbors of Scarlino and Punta Ala allow you to make boat trips to the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. The entrance on the back of the overhang, on the opposite side to the living room. The dining space is further higher than the entrance. At the center of this double volume a staircase connects the two floors. At the same level as the lunch area, a second living room overlooks the right wing of the first, extending outwards into a terrace that ends with a point, almost like a bastion, stretching out towards the sea. The three bedrooms are arranged like a herringbone bone. They haven’t walls in common, but empty spaces that are like "telescopes" on the landscape. They are in effect 3 independent spaces, each with its own balcony. The spaces are all strongly articulated and characterized. The floors are in terracotta, from which the original rocks sometimes emerge; stone walls, steel supporting pillars (covered with the same black anodized aluminum as the window frames), reinforced concrete terrace coverings with load-bearing parapets. The flat roofs take the movements of the underlying surfaces, forming a viable garden roof.
It represents the first and organic tool of knowledge on contemporary architecture in the Grosseto area and collects the updated results of the reconnaissance that took place in recent years starting from the cataloging carried out between 2003 and 2006 by the Superintendency for Architectural Heritage and Landscape of Siena and Grosseto up to the recent publications of the journal "Architetture Grosseto H”. Given the exclusive location and proximity to the sea this property is a perfect example of a holiday home.
